One of the top reasons I visit the RSA Conference every year is that the Expo halls contain a representative slice of the entire cybersecurity industry. This year that means 382 of 3,818 active vendors are exhibiting, exactly 10%. (We have archived an additional 558 vendors in the IT-Harvest Dashboard for historical record keeping.)
Last year there were 375 exhibitors.
If you could actually visit all the booths in the short two and a half days of the Expo, you would acquire a keen grasp of the entire industry. There may be some gaps in your understanding because a few large vendors opt out because of industry politics or financial reason. For instance, if you are looking to make a decision to standardize all of your security purchases on one platform, your only option is Fortinet because for the second year Palo Alto Networks will not be supporting RSAC. (See: Palo Alto Networks Abdicates.)
If you are not attending RSAC another option is to visit the websites of the exhibitors which my team at IT-Harvest have compiled into this convenient Google Sheet, sorted by founding year in the below screen shot.
Here is how each country is represented at the conference. As always, the US leads and Israel is second.
And here is how they are distributed across category.
Only ten pure play AI Security vendors out of the 96 we track in the Dashboard will be exhibiting. But I suspect you will be able to hear an AI story from each of the 382 exhibitors. I predict that next year there will be 20-30 AI Security Exhibitors. GRC is down from 64 vendors last year. Welcome back to Rapid7 which had taken a hiatus of two years while they sorted out their financial position.
You should definitely check out the 37 representative companies from the IT-Harvest Cyber 150. These were the fastest growing mid-size vendors last year. Note that all but three of them have continued to add headcount so far in 2025.
Edit: We missed Securden from the above list. Visit their booth #561, South Expo.
Another way to grasp an understanding of the entire cybersecurity industry is to grab a copy of Security Yearbook 2025. Several vendors have purchased quantities of the only history and directory of the cybersecurity industry for me to sign. Here is the schedule of those book signings. Get there early because supplies will not last the full hour.
