Out of the Cyber 150, four are in the IoT security category. IoT is an interesting space to observe from a high level. Every category in IT security is eventually mirrored in IoT. There are network, endpoint, identity, data, and even governance solutions just for IoT. On top of that there are specialists for medical devices, industrrial control systems, building controls, train systems, automotive, and even maritime.
It is no wonder that there are 151 IoT security vendors in the IT-Harvest Dashboard.
To select the Cyber 150 we simply selected from all 4,053 vendors for a size between 50-500 people and 2024 growth of at least 15% through July 1. We then took the top 150 based on our own Health Score. Here are the IoT Security vendors that made the cut. They are all based in the US.
Dispel provides remote access for industrial control systems. It grew just over 40% in the first half and has grown 73% YTD.
Phosphorus seeks to solve an old school problem: missing patches and misconfigurations. But instead of desktops they offer solutions for office equipment, building controls, even elvator controls. Their large enterprise customers may have 100K desktops but will have 5-10X as many unmanaged devices.
Trustonic SecureOS is deployed in billions of devices from automobiles to IoT.
With 600 employees Claroty is one of the largest IoT solution providers. It has continued to grow so far this year. Part of that can be attributed to an influx of $100 million in funding in March.
For comparison here are the largest IoT security companies with Claroty number two after private equity owned Armis which is trying to distance itself from IoT and position itself as a broader asset management platform.
