This morning we officially launched HarvestIQ.ai, new products from IT-Harvest. Two AI assistants are now available. We hinted at this in April: Positioning for the Near Future: Digital Assistants for Product Selection
Digital Assistants for Product Selection
Our beta users have all asked the same question. Aside from the much lower price, what is the difference between HarvestIQ and the IT-Harvest Dashboard? It’s pretty simple really. The Dashboard is the only platform for datamining everything we have collected: Investments, headcount, products, health metrics including Black Kite ratings, Linkedin Page vi
sitors, website visitors, product news, and M&A and funding news. For products we have alignments with NIST CSF 2.0 and MITRE ATT&CK. If you spend a lot of time researching either the cybersecurity industry or products, you need access to the Dashboard. This includes: VCs, PE investors, strategic M&A, OEM relationship manager, competitive intel, or a CISOs team researching solutions and managing a security portfolio. Seat holders to the Dashboard automatically get access to the Assistants.
These new assistants are chatbots that have access to embeddings of all of our data onto an LLM. Today that is Anthropic’s Claude but we continuously evaluate the cutting edge models and switch when it is warranted. You will notice that you can add your own files to these embeddings (we don’t see them, I promise). If you have used ChatGPT the interface will be very familiar. You start a conversation with one of the two assistants and get guidance on companies or products. Quick demo below.

Maximillian added a great feature. Whenever a company or product is discussed in an answer we pull those out and make them clickable to get more info:
Just a note on costs. You may have seen Sam Altman’s surprising post on Twitter where he claims OpenAI is losing money on their $200 “unlimited” monthly subscription. A live agent that uses a commercial LLM is expensive. In our case, a third of our subscription cost goes to paying for tokens. And the cost goes up dramatically the more memory is provided. “Memory” in the sense that you can hold a conversation with the bot and not have to remind it what you are talking about.
The HarvestIQ Analyst Assistant is a chat interface to our data on 4,069 cybersecurity vendors.
The HarvestIQ Architect Assistant is a chat interface to our data on 11,349 products.
You can imagine the value next time you are on a Zoom call discussing solutions with your team. The person who has a subscription can immediately find solutions or get summaries of information on vendors and products.
