In two weeks 8% of the cybersecurity industry will be represented at BlackHat 2024. (317 out of 3,942) The IT-Harvest team will be there too. You can find me signing copies of Security Yearbook 2024 in Black Kite’s booth on Wednesday and Thursday from 3-4.
Even if you are not attending you can sign up for free access to a special app we built using our data on all the exhibitors. (We are still adding the last few.) Go to dashboard.it-harvest.com/blackhat to get access. If you signed up previously for our RSAC or Gartner event tools just sign back in.
As soon as you get access you see some quick analysis of the exhibitors. You can explore Vendor by Country. No surprise that there are 226 headquartered in the US and the next largest representation is from Israel with 34.
Within the app you can see vendors by capital raised (there are close to 40 with no outside funding), and by size.
This is the first major conference in the last three years where GRC is not the most represented. There are 39 GRC vendors, but both Application Security(43) and Operations (44) have more.
You can click through to, or search on, a vendor to see all of the data we curate for each one. Because Crowdstrike is in the news lately here is a condensed version of what you can find in their profile.
Make sure to put the app on your phone (it’s just a website) so you can bring up the data on any vendor as you walk through the Expo to get to Black Kite’s booth to meet me and get your signed copy of Security Yearbook 2024.
Glancing through the list I see one notable inclusion. After snubbing RSAC this year Palo Alto is showing its face at BlackHat. I would love to see the calculus on that decision. Can you catch any notable instances of a vendor *not* showing? Here is the list.
Check back during the week as I fill in the data columns. These are ordered by IT-Harvest Health Score.
